FIDE has now introduced the publishing of the rating list every two months (6 lists annually) instead of quarterly. In addition, the deadline for submitting a tournament has been reduced to seven (7) days before the publishing of each rating list.
The above amendments have been decided in order to ensure that the FIDE rating list remains up to date as much as possible. In order to clarify the existing regulations, only the following list of FIDE events will be excluded from the 7-day limit:
1. FIDE World Championship Match
2. FIDE World Championship for Women
3. FIDE Grand-Prix Tournaments (men & women)
4. FIDE World Cup
5. FIDE Candidates Matches
6. FIDE World Team Championships (men & women)
7. FIDE Chess Olympiad (men & women)
