Today the FIDE President arrived to Beirut where he met with the representatives of the Lebanese parliament and Lebanese Chess federation. At the meeting with the FIDE representative in Mediterranean region, Mr. Hury Alan, the issues related to chess development in Lebanon were discussed. And particularly the possibilities of CIS programme implementation. Also the FIDE President met with Member of Parliament of Lebanon, Chairman of the biggest party in the country, Mr. Dory Chamoun. The leaders discussed the opportunities to consider in Lebanese parliament the question of government's support to develop chess in the country.
