FIDE TRG Seminar 2017 Singapore

The Singapore TRG Seminar scheduled for 2017 was estimated at 16 participants pending interest from the community at large.

However as we draw near to the end of 2016 several interested persons approached the SCF to extend the deadline and duly submitted their ID Cards, with the last one incoming at 14 January. We were indeed blessed with 2 of them seeking upgrade of their current titles. Some from abroad attended the Arbiter’s Seminar and stayed on!

FST Thomas Luther came in and discussed the topics with FT Bong Villamayor while FI John Wong assisted mainly with the administrative work on attendance, printing of certificates and the compiling of results in consultation with the group.

After 4 days (2 weekday nights and 2 weekend afternoons), we finally developed 2 FTs, 11 FIs, 11NIs and 1 DI.

RESULTS (pdf)

All trainees have listened attentively to the lectures conducted and did well in their written test. The spectrum of experience varied as most of the trainees this time were averagely rated players with moderate coaching experience except for a few who are currently coaching full time.

Thanks to all Lecturers and trainees who were happy with their results! Till the next seminar…
