FIDE Arbiters' Seminar in Damascus, Syria Print

From 25 to 30 June 2009 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Damascus, Syria, by the Syrian Chess Federation, under the patronage of the Arab Chess Union and under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer was IA Mahdi Abdulrahim (UAE), member of the FIDE Arbiters' Commission and Chairman of the Arab Arbiters' Council and Assistants were IA Ali Al- Khateeb and IA Mohamed Safi.
28 men and women from Syria, Yemen and Tunis participated in the Seminar and in the examination test that was held after the end of the lectures.
The following eighteen (18) succeeded in the test and will be awarded the title of FIDE Arbiter after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:
