FIDE Arbiters' Seminar in Beirut, Lebanon Print

From 18 to 22 April 2009 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Beirut, Lebanon, by the Lebanese Chess Federation, under the patronage of the Asian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.
The Seminar took place in the Le Meridien Commodore Hotel, with participants from Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, UAE and Palestine.
The Lecturer was IA Andrzej Filipowicz (POL), chairman of the FIDE Technical Commission and IA Dr. Hesham Elgendy (EGY) translated into Arabic.
23 people participated in the Seminar and 13 of them took part in the examination test that was held after the end of the lectures.
The following ten (10) succeeded in the test and have been already awarded the title of FIDE Arbiter after the approval of the FIDE Presidential Board in Krakow:
