Dear chess friends, the FIDE General Assembly in Dresden approved the REGULATIONS FOR THE CLASSIFICATION OF THE ARBITERS ( see : FIDE Handbook, B.05 : "Regulations for the titles of Arbiter", paragraph 8, Annex 2 ).

With its previous Circular Letter from February 2009, the FIDE Arbiters' Commission asked all National Chess Federations for their cooperation, in order to produce the lists of the Arbiters of every category and submit them for approval to the next FIDE Congress, that will be held in Kallithea, Halkidiki, Greece, from 11 to 18 October 2009.

For this purpose the Federations were kindly requested to send to the Commission the lists of their Active and Inactive International Arbiters (IA) and FIDE Arbiters (FA) and classify their Active IAs and FAs to Categories (A', B', C' and D'), according to the approved regulations.

The FIDE Arbiters' Commission thanks very much all Federations who have already sent their proposals and kindly ask the rest of the Federations to send their lists to the Commission.

All these lists shall be sent to the Arbiters' Commission subcommittee consisting of the Chairman Panagiotis Nikolopoulos, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
