FIDE Arbiters' Seminar in Mashhad, Iran Print

From 15 to 20 June 2010 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Mashhad, IRAN, by the Chess Federation of the Islamic republic of IRAN and the Khorassan Razavi Chess association, in cooperation with the Asian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer was IA Panagiotis Nikolopoulos (GRE), Chairman of the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and Assistant Lecturers were IA Casto Abundo (PHI), Deputy President of the Asian Chess Federation and IA Mehrdad Pahlevanzadeh (IRI), Treasurer of the Asian Chess federation. The lectures were in English language.

19 people (7 women and 12 men) from Islamic Republic of Iran participated in the seminar. The following eleven (11) succeeded in the examination test, that was held after the lectures and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:
