FIDE Arbiters' Seminar in Amman, Jordan Print

From 14 to 20 July 2010 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Amman, Jordan, by the Royal Jordanian Chess Federation, in association with the Arad Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE. The venue of the Seminar was Palmira Hotel.

The lecture of the seminar was IO/IA Mahdi Abdulrahim (UAE), Chairman of Arab Arbiters' Council, and Councilor of the FIDE Arbiters' Commission. The assistants were IO/IA Shaker Al Afoo (BRN), member of Arab Arbiters Council & IA Nader Naïf (JOR), member of Royal Jordanian Arbiters Council.

23 National Arbiters from Jordan, Yemen, Bahrain, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, registered and attended the seminar. The lectures were given in Arabic and English, all materials were taken from Fide website and Arbiter Commission and translated to Arabic language.

The following fourteen (14) succeeded in the examination test that was held after the lectures and will be awarded the title of FIDE Arbiter (according to the article 3.10 of the regulations for the titles of Arbiters) or a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:
