WORLD JUNIOR & GIRLS CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS CHOTOWA, POLAND 2-17 AUGUST 2010 The FIDE Trainers' Commission continued with its activites, by holding a meeting on 7th August, with many trainers present at the World Junior & Girls Chess Championships in Chotowa, Poland.
The Tournament Organizer kindly announced the meeting prior to game start and provided TRG with a large meeting hall, nearby the playing venue.
The meeting was hosted by TRG Chairman FST Adrian Mikhalchishin and TRG Councillors FST Uwe Boensch and FST Jovan Petronic.
Adrian Mikhalchishin welcomed all trainers and briefed them on the many recent and ongoing activities of the Trainers' Commission. Mr. Mikhalchishin noted that practically all top trainers have joined the FIDE Trainers' System. To reduce the costs of Seminars, TRG started with organizing Trainers’ Seminars during the World and Continental Championships, with Seminars in 2009 being already held during the Asian Cup in Al Ain (UAE) and the World Youth and in 2010 during forthcoming European Youth in Batumi (Georgia), the World Chess Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk and the World Youth Age-Group Championships in Halkidiki (Greece). He then invited all trainers to always freely communicate on all related matters with the Commission, and continue to be a part of the worldwide trainers' family.
Jovan Petronic reminded all of the special website TRG has, hosted by FIDE, at
http://trainers.fide.com, where all can view its rich content, and especially with the new Trainer's Surveys being regularly updated with new materials.
After the introductions and briefings, TRG held a brief Q&A session, which continued later on a daily individual basis.
