The FIDE Honorary Vice President Israel Gelfer and the Assistant to the FIDE President Berik Balgabaev have concluded an inspection visit to Herceg Novi in Montenegro to review the facilities being offered as part of the bid to host the World Youth Championships there. .

The FIDE Honorary Vice President Israel Gelfer and the Assistant to the FIDE President Berik Balgabaev have concluded an inspection visit to Herceg Novi in Montenegro to review the facilities being offered as part of the bid to host the World Youth Championships there. During their visit they called on the Minister of Sports Dragan Drobnjak, the Vice President of Montenegro Olympic Committee GM Bozidar Ivanovic and the President of the Montenegro Chess Federation Srdja Dragasevic.
The inspection delegation visited the Institute Igalo and a new Sport Hall in Igalo. Its opening is scheduled for October this year. They also visited Sun Resort and Plaza Hotels.
Messrs. Gelfer and Balgabaev also paid a visit to Cetinje where the Montenegro Men's and Women's Chess Championships were being held.
