Evgeny Bareev drew with Judit Polgar to win their match 3.5:2.5 and qualify into Round 2 of the Candidates Matches. Sergei Rublevsky similarly held Ruslan Ponomariov to a draw for a 3.5:2.5 slate. Magnus Carlsen drew from a lost position to tie Lev Aronian 3:3 and force a Rapid Chess tie break at 1pm tomorrow.
