Mexico City inspection. World Chess Championship tournament comes soon Print

A delegation from FIDE led by Deputy President Georgios Makropoulos visited Mexico City last week for an inspection visit regarding the forthcoming World Championship tournament to be held there this September. Mr Makropoulos was accompanied by Continental President for Americas, Mr Jorge Vega and FIDE Vice Presidents Israel Gelfer and Geoffrey Borg. The delegation met Mr Jorge Saggiante, the President of the Organising Committee, as well as the organising team and key members of the Mexico City`s municipality.
