Today, 16 April 2007, the FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met the President of the National Olympic Committee of Russian Federation Mr. Leonid Tyagachev.

The two Presidents discussed the further development of sport movement, including chess in Russian Federation as well as all over the world.

Also, the GAISF General Assembly, that will take place from 23-27 April 2007 in Beijin, was one of the topics of the meeting. FIDE delegation will also participate in the GAISF General Assembly this year.
