Yesterday, 6 December 2006 the President of Mongolia His Excellency Nambaryn Enkhbayar arrived in Elista. He was met at the airport by the officials of the Republic of Kalmykia led by His Excellency Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, Head of the Republic, FIDE President. Mr. Enkhbayar took part in the opening ceremony of the youth chess championship, visited the Chess Museum and the main Buddhist temple of the republic "Golden Residence of the Buddha Shakyamuni".
