Kazhgaleyev, Koneru win Asian Games Rapid Chess

Murtas Kazhgaleyev of Kazakhstan and Koneru Humpy of India won the Men`s and Women`s Rapid Chess Competition, respectively, in the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar. Kazhgaleyev won the gold with 7.5 points, followed by Dao Thien Hai of Vietnam and Bu Xiangzhi of China with 7 points each for silver and gold, respectively. Konery Humpy of India convincingly won the Women`s competition alone with 8 points followed by Zhao Xue of China with 7.5 for silver and Zhu Chen of Qatar with 6 for the bronze.
