From 3 to 7 November 2006 - His Excellency Kirsan Ilyumzhinov visited Jordan and met with the leadership of the country. He had a meeting with the Crown Prince of Jordan, His Highness Mohammed bin Talal, Prime Minister Dr. Marouf Suleiman al-Bakhit and officials of the Royal Jordanian Chess Federation. On invitation of Jordanian Princess Faya, he visited the Jordanian Hashimit Fund `Human Development` and presented a hundred chess sets to orphans and homeless children.
