It is already well known that Serbia and Montenegro have peacefully dissolved their union and the constituents took separate ways as two independent countries. The first Parliamentary elections took place in Montenegro recently. Mr. Milo Djukanovic was elected Prime Minister of Montenegro. In the previous news the Opening Ceremony of the European Youth Chess Championship 2006 was honored with the presence of the Prime Minister of Montenegro and FIDE President. Today, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov congratulates Milo Djukanovic on the victory in the elections.

Mr. Milo Djukanovic was elected to the position of the Prime Minister of Montenegro.

In the previous news we have told you on the Opening Ceremony of the European Youth Chess Championship 2006 with the participation of the Prime Minister of Montenegro and FIDE President.

Today, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov congratulates Milo Djukanovic on the victory in the elections. Congratulation Letter of the FIDE President in Russian.

I would like to congratulate you on the brilliant results of the 1st Parliamentary Elections in Montenegro!

I was absolutely sure in your victory and I mentioned this during our Saturday meeting in Herzeg Novi. I recollect our meeting and the brilliant Opening Ceremony of the European Youth Championship 2006 with pleasure.

I would like to once again confirm that the World Chess Federation is ready to closely cooperate and support the Chess Federation of Montenegro in the organization of the FIDE chess competitions.

I wish you and all people of Montenegro success and prosperity.
