The Manager to the World Chess Champion Veselin Topalov, Silvio Danailov accompanied by the members of his team Dancho Dzhongov and Dragomir Georgiev arrived to Elista, Russia on 24 August.

The main task of their visit, as well as of the visit of Mr. Hensel a week ago, is to inspect the venue and accommodation conditions for the forth coming World Chess Championship Match Topalov-Kramnik which will take place in Elista in September.

"I have already been to Elista in 1998 during the 33rd Chess Olympiad. I have very good memories of that time. This time I would like to get acquainted with the venue of the games, the accommodation conditions and some technical details. I think that everything will be just perfect. It is well known that Elista organises chess events on the very high level."

On 25 September 2006 Mr. Danailov and his team members met with the FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov. Mr. Danailov expressed his positive impressions that he has had after the inspection of the preparations of the venue of the games and accommodation. Unlike the opponent's team, Mr. Danailov entrusted the food issue to the Organizing Committee. The security matters during the Match were also discussed with the Vice-Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Gindeev. All technical issues, like internet access, etc were also a part of the meeting. Mr. Danailov expressed his satisfaction with the preparations to the Match and underlined that he expected nothing but the high level of the tournament to be held in Elista as always. One of the recommendations that the Topalov's representatives have made is to install the noise protected wall that the Organizers will surely take into consideration.
