A very strong AeroSvit International GM tournament was held June 16 to 29, in Foros, Yalta of Ukraine. GM Rublevskiy Sergey of Russia won the Aerosvit 2006 with 7.5 points out of 11 rounds. Time control: 120 minutes to each participant for all the game with addition of 30 sec. after every move, starting from the first move. Among the 12 participants were GMs V. Ivanchuk, A. Grischuk, A. Shirov, R. Ponomariov, S. Mamedyarov, Nisipeanu L.-D., Rublevskiy S., Harikrishna P., Bologan V. Krjakin S., Volokitin A., Areshchenko A..
