Welcome Korea to FIDE Rating List |

 We welcome the first Korean players to the FIDE Rating List. The Korean Chess Association organized the first Korean International 2006 in Ilsan, producing six FIDE-rated Korean players. FIDE General Secretary Ignatius Leong, concurrently FIDE Development Commission Chairman, helped Korea join FIDE in 2003. FIDE supports all players, from the mass base of players to World Champions. The FIDE family is growing and we shall be pleased to see a Korean team in the Turin Olympiad.
