Representatives from FIDE (Deputy President G. Makropoulos, Vice President Z. Azmaiparashvili and Executive member I. Gelfer) and ACP (President J. Lautier and Board member P. Tregubov) met on 24th of May at the FIDE office to discuss several issues which are "in the heart" of chess life all over the world.

Both parties expressed satisfaction as to the spirit of the meeting, as well to the results which have been achieved. There seems to be an understanding between FIDE and ACP about most of the questions dealt in the meeting, which concluded in a mutual decision to form a joint commission which will meet regularly and will deal with all issues which are of interest to both sides.
