Message from Johan Zwanepol, Director of the Chess Foundation in Groningen

H.E. Kirsan Ilyumzhinov,
President of the Kalmykian Republic
President of FIDE

Dear Mr. Ilyumzhinov, dear president,

With disgust I took notice of the terroristic attack and act of kidnapping on a school in the little town Beslan in the Russian Republic North Ossetian last week Friday, in which so many people, especially a lot of children, were killed and injured.

Be sure the Dutch people sympathize with the grief of the North Ossetian people by this tragedy.
Personal I wish you all fortitude courage to come to terms with your sorrow by this immense attemp.

Sincerely yours,

Johan Zwanepol
