FIDE announces the bids for the Chess Olympiad 2008 |

 FIDE announces that the following bids have been received in the FIDE Secretariat in respect of the Chess Olympiad 2008:
1. Dresden, Germany
2. Tallinn, Estonia
FIDE shall inspect both proposed venues during the period before the FIDE General Assembly in Calvia, Mallorca, Spain, where the final decison shall be taken.
