World Champion Vladimir Kramnik of Russia has lost a match vs. Deep Fritz held 25 November to 5 December 2006 at the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bonn. World Chess Challenge: World Chess Champion 2006 Vladimir Kramnik of Russia competed in one of the most exciting chess competitions of the century vs Deep Fritz (Germany).

The match took place in Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bonn from 25 November to 5 December 2006. The computer is the winner with 4.0points.

RAG Aktiengesellschaft (exclusive sponsor of this match) made this event one of the most interesting battle in the history of chess together with Mr. Peer Steinbruck, Federal Finance Minister of Germany who is patronaging this match.
