The FIDE website has the most up to date worldwide tournament calendar with over 260 events for June and coming months. The list grows daily. Geared towards the player and chess journalists, it has convenient summaries for easy review. You can see the latest entries in the tournament page right column, quick jump to any coming month or past events, search by country, system or period or search by continent. You can click `Show active events` in the tournament page, or in the home page under the spinning globe click on Other tournaments for the list of current events. Read more for the latest entries. Princess Islands Chess Festival 16-24 July in Istanbul, Turkey with US$10,000 in prizes.

1° Open Internazionale di Scacchi "La Birreria - Pedavena" in Pedaverna, Italy slated 3-6 August 2005 with Euro 2,550 in prizes.

`Liepajas Rokade`, the biggest Chess Festival in the Baltics with US$10,000 in prizes takes place from 11th to 14th of August 2005 in Liepaja, Latvia.

IG Luzerner Open slated in 29 October to 1 November 2005 in Luzern, Switzerland with SFr.9,200 in prizes.
