GM Fernando Peralta claims 41st Badalona Open Print

The 41st edition of Badalona Chess Festival was held on August 2-10, 2015, in Badalona, a city in eastern Catalonia, Spain.

The event was played in a 9-round Swiss format with tempo of play 90' + 30" and prize fund in total of 5,200 EUR.

Argentinian player GM Fernando Peralta emerged a clear winner with 7.5 points, leaving the nearest followers, IM Tigran Harutyunian (Armenia), GM Marc Narciso Dublan (Spain), IM Camilo Rios Cristhian (Colombia) and IM David Pardo Simon (Spain), half a point behind.

Peralta finished unbeaten with 6 wins and 3 draws and added 8 new Elo points to his rating.

WGM Deysi Cori from Peru scored 6 points to take the best female prize.
