Two FIDE Seminars in Al Ain Print

asian The Asian Chess Federation shall organize two FIDE Seminars, under the programs of CACDEC and the Asian Chess Acedemy, concurrent with the Asian Club Cup scheduled 25-31 December 2008 in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.

FIDE Arbiters Seminar

The FIDE Arbiters Seminar in Al Ain, UAE shall be conducted by FIDE Arbiters Council Chairman Panagiotis Nikolopoulos. Participants may earn the FIDE Arbiter title after passing the examination.

The seminar program is:

25 Dec.,  17.00-21.00 : Lecture ( Laws of Chess)

26 Dec.,  17.00-21.00 : Lecture ( Laws of Chess, Rapid, Blitz )

27 Dec.,  17.00-21.00 : Lecture ( Tournament Rules, tie breaks, basic principals for organizing tournaments )

28 Dec.,  17.00-21.00 : Lecture ( Systen of playing, Round Robin, Swiss system, pairing rules)

29 Dec.,  17.00-21.00 : Lecture ( Titles and Rating Regulations, regulations for the titles of the Arbiters ).

30 Dec.,  17.00-21.00 : Examination

Arbiters Seminar course fee is $150 plus. Hotel accommodation for the period is $500 full board in double room.

FIDE Trainers Seminar

The FIDE Trainer and Instructor Seminar shall be held 25-31 December in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates under the supervision of the FIDE Trainers Committee. GMs Adrian Mikhalchishin and Georg Mohr of Slovenia, both FIDE Senior Trainers, shall conduct the course and examination.

Four titles can be earned - FIDE Trainer, FIDE Instructor, National Instructor and Developmental Instructor, depending on the results of the examination and the aspirant's chess record as a player and trainer.

The seminar fee is 450 Euros. The course shall be in English from 25 to 31 December 2008 according to the following program:
