FIDE Instructor and FIDE Trainer courses in India. |

 All India Chess Federaration will organize the International courses for FIDE Instructor and FIDE Trainer which are scheduled at Chennai, India from 30 April to 7 May, 2008. FIDE Senior Trainer IM Jovan Petronic of Serbia and FIDE Trainer FM Peter Long of Malaysia will conduct the course and the examination. The course will be conducted in English language.

International Arbiter Ashot Vardapetyan of Armenia is conducting the FIDE Arbiters Seminar under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation, from 24th to 29th March in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The seminar is being held in the Russian language for members of FIDE Asian Zone 3.6 under Zone President Husan Turdialiev with participants from Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. From 19 to 24 February 2008 an Arbiters` Seminar was organized in Tehran by the Asian Chess Federation, under the auspices of FIDE and in association with the Chess Federation of Islamic Republic of Iran. The Seminar took place in the hall of the IRI Chess Federation in Tehran and the lecturers were IA Panagiotis Nikolopoulos, Chairman of the FIDE Arbiters` Council and IA Casto Abundo, Vice President of the Asian Chess Federation. 46 people (18 women and 28 men) from Islamic Republic of Iran participated in the Seminar. 45 of them participated in the examination test.

FIDE Trainers Academy Course, July 2008 |

 The International Course for FIDE Instructor/FIDE Trainer is scheduled from 11 to 17 July, 2008 at the FIDE Trainer Academy in Berlin. A maximum of 16 trainers will be accepted on a first come first served basis. After successful graduation from the educational course, each participant will receive a certificate as FIDE Instructor/FIDE Trainer.

Asian Chess Federation Arbiters` Seminars in Tehran and Tashkent |

 The Asian Chess Federation shall organize Arbiters` Seminars from 20-24 February in Tehran, Iran and from 24 to 29 March 2008 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan for the central asian countries of FIDE zone 3.4. Arbiters Council Chairman Panagiotis Nikolopoulos and Asian Chess Federation Deputy President Casto Abundo shall conduct the seminar in Tehran.
