Four players with equal points before last round of Norway Chess Print

The 6th edition of Altibox Norway Chess 2018 takes place from 26th May to 10th June 2018, in Stavanger, Norway. The event features 10 of the world top 13 chess players.

In the penultimate round American players Hikaru Nakamura and Fabiano Caruana have won their respective games to climb to the top of the standings.

Heading into the final round four players are sharing the first place with 4,0 points each.

GM Carlsen Magnus - GM Mamedyarov Shakhriyar 1/2-1/2
GM So Wesley - GM Vachier-Lagrave Maxime 1/2-1/2
GM Anand Viswanathan - GM Caruana Fabiano 0-1
GM Nakamura Hikaru - GM Karjakin Sergey 1-0

Round 8 standings:
1-4. Carlsen Magnus 2843, So Wesley 2778, Nakamura Hikaru 2769 and Caruana Fabiano 2822 - 4,0
5-7. Mamedyarov Shakhriyar 2808 (+1 game), Aronian Levon 2764 and Anand Viswanathan 2760 - 3,5
8. Karjakin Sergey 2782 - 3,0
9. Vachier-Lagrave Maxime 2789 - 2,5



Earlier in the tournament Ding Liren had to withdraw from participation due to hip injury. Shakhriyar Mamedyarov is free in the last round.
