Voronezh Chess festival 2018 has been in progress for almost a week!

Two one-day tournaments are already finished. In the Chess960 tournament (60 players, 10 GM, 11 IM) GM Vladimir Belous (RUS) and GM Parkham Maghsoodloo (IRI) finished on a tie-break with 6.5 points of 7, Vladimir Belous is the first by Buchholz, IM (Alexandr Triapishko (RUS) is the third with 6 points. In the Rapid chess tournament (164 players, 19 GM, 21 IM) there was a triple tie-break with 7.5 points of 9 - GM Maksim Chigaev (RUS) is the first, GM Sergei Tiviakov (NED) is the second, Vladimir Belous is the third.

Three classical chess tournaments go to their middle point. Master Open (ACP Tour stage, Russia Cup stage) gathered 131 players (25 GM, 26 IM, participants from 11 countries). Four leaders after three rounds: IM Ilia Iljiushenok (RUS), GM Pavel Potapov (RUS), IM Akash Pc Iyer and IM Javokhir Sindarov (UZB) have 3 points each. 148 players from different Russian regions participate in FIDE Open tournament for players with Elo < 2200. There are 18 players in Sail of Hope tournament for handicapped people.

The festival will be finished June 21 after Master Open 9th round. There will be one more tournament (Blitz, June 17).
