The October 2026 rating list was primarily shaped by the recently concluded 46th Chess Olympiad, with both the top 10 Open and Women’s lists seeing some important shifts.
Nodirbek Abdusattorov returned to the top five after a three-month absence following his brilliant performance in Samarkand, which earned him individual gold on Board 1 and 18 rating points. He also matched his career-high rating of 2780.
